The "VOLUNTEERS IN PATROL OF ESTATES WEST" are dedicated to making our community of 639 homes in Far North Dallas a safe place to live.  We preseently have 39 active members who meet once a month in members' homes  to share information from the police and to sign up for our patrol obligations for the following month.  Using our own vehicles with magnetic signs, we patrol in groups of two, every street and alley in Estates West, as well as the area around Bowie Elementary School.  We are the extra eyes and ears for the police.  The patrols ususally take about one and a half  hours to complete.
